Not far from our portrait studio in Downtown Covington, our private 11-acre property offers a completely different portrait experience. Surrounded by forest, winding paths, and the quiet rhythm of nature, it provides a beautiful setting for outdoor color portraits.
The property sits along the Bogue Falaya River, where a gentle stretch of the creek winds through with sandy riverbanks that often become a natural gathering place during sessions. These surroundings give our outdoor portraits a sense of movement and the landscape itself becomes part of the portrait.
Sessions here are relaxed and unhurried. Families can walk the trails, children can explore the creek, and portraits unfold naturally along the sandy edges of the river.
Many clients choose to pair an outdoor session on the property with a black-and-white studio session in downtown Covington, creating a collection that combines the timeless simplicity of studio portraiture with the warmth and texture of natural light. (Click here to view The Rylands | STUDIO.)
