Your wedding photographs should feel just as meaningful fifty years from now as they do today. Our approach to weddings blends documentary storytelling with carefully crafted portraits, creating a visual record that captures both the quiet moments and the energy of the day.
As a husband-and-wife team, we photograph weddings together with an intuitive rhythm that allows us to anticipate moments before they unfold. From the anticipation before the ceremony to the celebration on the dance floor, our focus is always on preserving genuine emotion while creating refined, timeless imagery. Add on our HD Portrait Co. experience to your reception & blow your guests away!
Every wedding collection includes an engagement session so we can work together before the wedding day, ensuring that by the time your celebration arrives, you feel completely comfortable in front of our cameras.
HD Portrait Co. is our signature on-site portrait experience designed for weddings and special events. Rather than a traditional photobooth, we create a professional portrait studio within your event, where Hunter photographs your guests using studio lighting and guided posing to create beautifully composed portraits throughout the evening.
Guests step in for a portrait and leave with a printed photograph that feels polished and intentional rather than casual or disposable. Couples also receive a full gallery of the portraits captured throughout the night, creating a unique visual record of the people who celebrated alongside them.
It’s portraiture disguised as entertainment — and often becomes one of the most memorable parts of the evening.
Our portrait studio is located in the heart of historic downtown Covington. Designed specifically for black-and-white portraiture, the studio offers a clean, timeless environment where the focus stays entirely on expression, connection, and light.
These sessions are intentionally simple and guided. We direct each pose and expression so clients can relax into the process while we create portraits that feel classic and enduring.
Studio sessions are ideal for families, children, maternity portraits, personal milestones, and generational photographs meant to be printed and kept for decades.
Some stories are best told in the places where life actually happens. Our lifestyle sessions are designed to capture families, newborns, and personal brands within their own environments.
These sessions are photographed in your home, workplace, or a meaningful location, allowing the images to reflect the rhythms of everyday life — the nursery you prepared, the kitchen where everyone gathers, or the workspace where ideas take shape.
Rather than heavily posed portraits, the focus is on natural interaction, creating photographs that feel personal, relaxed, and deeply connected to your real life.
Not far from our portrait studio in Downtown Covington, our private 11-acre property offers a completely different portrait experience. Surrounded by forest, winding paths, and the quiet rhythm of nature, it provides a beautiful setting for outdoor color portraits.
The property sits along the Bogue Falaya River, where a gentle stretch of the creek winds through with sandy riverbanks that often become a natural gathering place during sessions. These surroundings give our outdoor portraits a sense of movement and the landscape itself becomes part of the portrait.
Sessions here are relaxed and unhurried. Families can walk the trails, children can explore the creek, and portraits unfold naturally along the sandy edges of the river.
Many clients choose to pair an outdoor session on the property with a black-and-white studio session in downtown Covington, creating a collection that combines the timeless simplicity of studio portraiture with the warmth and texture of natural light.
Cazador Art Gallery is our creative studio for photographic and mixed-media artwork. The gallery features a rotating collection of fine art pieces built from our photography and layered with hand-drawn elements.
Many of the works begin as photographs taken by Hunter using Leica and Polaroid cameras — sometimes quiet observations of landscape and wildlife, and other times bold, unexpected scenes drawn from Louisiana’s streets, culture, and celebrations. Desiree then builds on those images with hand-drawn line work, creating layered pieces that blur the boundary between photography and illustration.
Together, the work explores themes of memory, place, folklore, and the strange beauty of everyday life in Louisiana.
Select works are available as limited edition prints, allowing collectors to bring a piece of this evolving body of work into their homes.
